1. What resources do I need on my computer to use OBizTek Web's web hosting services?
   You do not need anything more than a personal computer with Internet access. If you do not have an FTP program installed, no need to worry there are plenty of free ones out there or you can use the built-in FTP program available in OBizTek Web's web-based control panel.

2. Does OBizTek Web offer 24 hour technical support?
   Yes! OBizTek Web offers 24 x 7 x 365 support and telephone support is available for emergencies. We are always here to help you no matter what time day or night you need us.

3. Does OBizTek Web support Microsoft FrontPage and FrontPage server extensions?
   Yes, OBizTek Web supports FP 2002 extensions on all of our hosting packages.

4. What are the various types of databases OBizTek Web offers with its packages?
   OBizTek Web's affordable hosting plans come configured for MS Access/ MS SQL 2000 with Windows plans and mySQL+phpMyAdmin with Linux plans

5. Will I have unlimited access to my site for updates?
   Yes. You have unlimited access via FTP or our web-based control panel 24 hours a day 365 days a year. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site any time you wish.

6. Can additional domains be pointed to my main domain?
   Yes. We can forward (park) additional domains to point to your master domain. There is a $60.00CDN ($40USD) per year charge for each domain you add as an alias.

7. Can I host domains in the sub-directory of my account?
   Yes, by utilizing our Fake IP addon. It is a CGI based tool that provides the ability to point additional domains to subdirectories of your main domain. There is a one-time $35.00 set-up fee and $10 per month for each domain you add as a Fake IP. - Top

8. Can you host foreign domain names?
   We host domains from many countries around the world. The only limitation is that of the domain registrar (a few countries do not allow geographic domains to be hosted outside their country).

9. What are your Network capabilities?
   Our clients are hosted on our fiber optic network, which connects to the Internet through 3 redundant OC-3 multi-homed connections. This high-speed connectivity combined with exceptionally fast and reliable Pentium III/4 servers, guarantee fast access to all web sites.

10. What Operating System and Server Software is being used?
    All our UNIX based systems run RedHat Linux with the powerful Apache Web Server and Apache SSL Server for secure transactions.

11. What type of hardware are you using?
    For maximum reliability all our servers are custom-built using the best components currently available in the industry. Since there are constant improvements in the hardware industry, we upgrade our systems as needed, thereby providing you and your customers access to fast, reliable machines.

12. Does OBizTek Web offer any dial-up access to the Internet?
    No, you will need to contact your local Internet Service Provider (ISP) for local dial-up access to the Internet. We want to focus on what we're good at, and that's web sites, not internet access.

13. Does OBizTek Web offer any professional/custom web site design or development?
    Yes we do. Please consult the web design solutions area for more details. OBizTek  originally started out as a web design company, the hosting services we offer today grew out of the need for our clients to have reliable service for their websites.

14. What statistical package does OBizTek Web offer?
    OBizTek Web's hosting packages come with Webalizer web statistics included free on every domain.

15. What about accepting credit cards, can I do it securely?
    If you would like to accept credit card orders on your site, OBizTek Web offers the E-Commerce hosting package. The E-Commerce hosting provides each domain with a totally separate SSL secured area just waiting for your certificate to be installed.

16. Do you maintain backups of my data?
    Yes. We backup your web directory daily on to our tape backup machines. Additionally, through your admin control panel or via FTP you are encouraged to maintain back ups of your databases, and web site files.

17. Can I access my domain without the "www" in front?
    Yes. You will be able to access your domain address with or without the "www" in front of the domain name. Example: [http://www.your-name.com] or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable, whichever you prefer.

18. How long does it take to set-up a new account?
    New accounts will take from 1 to 18hours from the time we receive your order. Once your account is set-up, you will be emailed your Account Login information (User ID, Password & FTP hostname) to help you get started. You can immediately start uploading files to your new web site.

19. Can I compile programs written in Java, C and C++?
    No, due to the security issues involved with allowing applications to be compiled on the server we do not allow this.
